Meet Scuba Libre in central Playa del Carmen for PADI theory, two mornings of pool practice, and four afternoon ocean sessions by boat. Instructor Sam has guided students through changing conditions, and groups are capped at eight. Equipment, a dive computer, logbook, and certification are included, while digital materials cost extra.

“Scuba Libre is a good diving company, Sam our instructor was very knowledgeable. The open water certification was for my wife, and I took a refresher course. There wasn't much visibility in my first dive as the currents were strong, so they took us to a different location for the next dive, which had better visibility. Overall we both enjoyed our second dive. As an open water diver, I wanted to go for better sites, but came to know, those sites are near to Cozumel.”

After a year of not diving due to covid, I was very happy that pro dives offered a quick refresh in the pool prior to our dives. Once at the Cenotes we dove with Nicola. She, along with all the staff at the cenotes are absolute professionals! I had no doubt in my mind that we were in the best of hands while diving. We were extremely impressed with the staff and education they gave us. The Cenotes…”
