Negatives: it’s a very long van ride from Playa Del Carmen 2 hrs - the pier at Holbox is in disrepair and we had to get off the boat directly in to gross seaweed/ stagnant water that smelled like a toilet. - it’s extremely hot on the island and 2 hours is too long unless you really enjoy shopping for souvenirs. I could have done without stopping at Holbox Island all together, it would have made the overall experience better.”

“Holbox, the beach club and the golf buggy drive was great. The transport to and from the resort however was really poor. The minivan was massively cramped we were squeezed into what was nothing more than a modified parcel shelf with about 6 inches of space with no way to get you legs in. Absolute joke. For a 2 hour journey this was just not acceptable. The driver did his best to get there quickly but unfortunately got pulled over for speeding . The final problem was that the boat engine broke down on the way back and they had to send a rescue boat out for us. After that…”

“Pick up and travel to the island was nice. A lot of choice for the lunch as well. But when arrived at the island there was a lot of see wead. They knew this apparently already days before becaused it rained. In my opinion you should warn the visitors in advance since we paid a lot of money for this day. Besides this, the way back was way longer (too long). We went back via Cancun where the operated should have booked two different transports. This made our trip back home 3,5h in the bus instead of 1,5h. Very sad ending of the day”
